The Prophet – Houseqlassics - 10 Years 2CD (2009)
Most people know dutch musician Dov Elkabas under his projects "The Prophet" and "The Masochist" producing Hardcore which
tends to the commercial side on the Masters Of Hardcore Label.
Producing since 1991 some deep club house stuff and early rave setting standards on a high level of innovation. This had a first callback on the 8th Domain EP released in 2000 with the exceptional track "This is my house".
Years later followed this double CD with two very impressive mixes gathering now different styles that were often just called "techno" or "house music" in the early 90s.
And it is way beyond the commercial side of Hardcore, Gabber and Hardstyle you might associate with this artist. It is a great collection of some essential pioneers of 90s dance music covering the full range from New Beat, Eurodance, Trance, House, Techno, Rave and more making this a must-have for any spaced out electronic music fan.
